The cost of an inspection is figured by multiplying the length of the boat by a per foot rate quoted by the surveyor.

(Length in feet) x Price = Rate

For instance, if the vessel is 22 feet long and the rate quoted by the surveyor is $25 per foot, the calculation would be:

22 feet x $25 = $550
